The Farm

EverGrow Farm is a Tennessee 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of all ages.

We currently offer school aged after school programs, adult full day programs, and employment. We partner with other nonprofit organizations, therapy providers, and home-school programs to build our community in Nashville and beyond. Our extraordinary staff  provide support for individualized and meaningful activities on the farm. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for growth for everyone at EverGrow and rooted in the understanding that we ALL are capable of lifelong learning.

We are excited to offer an inclusive summer day Camp, Camp EverGrow, in June-July 2026, as well as adding a full day school aged program-EverGrow Learning in August 2026!

EverGrow Farm is a beautiful 14 acre farm, conveniently located in southern Davidson County, Nashville TN. We are a working farm, offering outdoor gardens for produce and flowers, a greenhouse for year-round production, a flourishing pumpkin patch, chickens for egg production (and just enjoying their general craziness), a large barn Gathering Hall, and a 4 stall animal barn. Three natural springs converge on the property to provide a pond, creek, and well-fed irrigation. The main Farmhouse is where most indoor events happen, but the great lawn in front is where many of our outdoor festivities occur. Our programs and services take place in the main farmhouse, the great front lawn, the gardens, greenhouse, and barns.

Speech Language Pathologist and Founder of EverGrow Farm

Letter from the Founder

Hi! I am Kayla Jackson, a Speech Language Pathologist and Founder of EverGrow Farm, a 501 (c) 3 Tennessee nonprofit organization.

A native Nashvillian, I went to the University of Tennessee to study Communication Disorders and Vanderbilt Graduate School for a Masters in Speech Language Pathology, with a specialization in Autism and Developmental Disabilities. I worked at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center Pediatric Clinic for 9 years where I served as the ASD Team Leader, then started my private ASD specialty practice, ACCESS Therapy, 15 years ago.

Over the past 25 years, it has been a privilege and a joy to be a partner with so many families on this growth journey! I have 2 boys, 15 and 11. My younger son has Autism. My world is now both professionally and personally completely invested in ensuring every individual with a developmental disability has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

In recent years, many of the families I have loved over the past two decades have asked me some recurring questions: Isn’t there more we could be doing?, Have you seen any new intervention research emerging?, I don’t think my kid is in the best learning environment, now what?, I am exhausted with the fight to get my child what they need, can you help?, What are some programs in Nashville for adults with IDD?We are about to transition to middle/high/post high school- now what?, my son/daughter is 22+ and aging out of services what’s next for us?, I’ve found a few options but my adult child doesn’t qualify- help?, and the hardest question all of us ask- what happens to my person when I'm no longer able to care for them? Are any (or many) of these familiar?

I was continually thinking about and visualizing ways to address these questions- or at least offer a community searching together for the best future for their loved ones. In 2021, a friend of mine reached out to let me know his Dad passed unexpectedly, and his Mom had a series of health issues and was currently in Assisted Living. The estate held a beautiful 19 acre farm property in Nashville that had been vacant for years.

So a Dream met an Opportunity....

I proposed the idea of a nonprofit serving people with developmental disabilities to purchase the farm and he believed his parents would be proud to see the property used for its highest and greatest good....and EverGrow Farm was born!

We named the farm EverGrow because of our foundational belief that we are all capable of learning and growing throughout our lives and the neuroplasticity research supports that. We launched our first programs in Summer 2025 with our first 2 employees with disabilities working on the farm, and our school aged kids on site for therapies and social groups on the farm. We continue to grow daily, offering more programs for the 2025-26 school year as well as expanding our Adult Day program and employment opportunities. We have exciting plans on the horizon for Summer 2026 and next school year!

We would love to have you join us on this journey!
